iChatr removed from App Store due to, wait for it, nude users
Remember iChatr? We wrote about it last week, explaining it as like ChatRoulette for iPhone 4, letting people connect with random strangers for videochats. And we also said that while in theory the iPhone 4 angle would mean less surprise nudity, in practice we encountered our first onanistic iChatr user within a few hours of getting the app.
Well, it turns out that Apple's testers may have seen a few willies too, since the app has been thrown off the App Store. Developer SKJM revealed the news this weekend:
"The iChatr application has currently been removed from the App Store due to reports of a number of users exposing themselves during the random video chat sessions. We are currently discussing possible solutions to the problem with Apple."
It seems to be something worrying in human nature: give some men the ability to videochat with strangers, and they'll have an overwhelming urge to show off their tackle. Good luck to SKJM in finding a way to block it.
