Foolish driver luckily escapes death in highspeed crash with two lorries

We’ve all seen impetuous drivers attempting to overtake people on motorways and thought ‘this fool is going to do some serious damage’. Well, one fool in Belgium did.

This Ford Focus driver was so desperate to get ahead of people that he wildly cut across three lanes. However she didn’t realise that traffic on the exit lane had backed up. Consequently, the Focus crashed straight into the back of a lorry at great speed.

To make matters worse the car bounced back into the path of oncoming traffic and was hit once again by a second lorry.

It’s nothing short of a miracle given the sheer for of the impact, but the driver – 25-year-old Jasmien Claeys – somehow survived with just two broken vertebrae and a severely broken hand. Although she was in a coma for a short time after the crash.

The scenes were caught on dash cam and they serve as a reminder to those driving at high speeds without caution.
