This is the Toyota C-HR Concept

Toyota will unveil a hybrid concept at the Paris Motor Show in October 2014. The Toyota C-HR promises eco-friendly hybrid motoring in a bright purple, compact crossover package.

The Toyota C-HR Concept provides an ‘early hint’ of a model the Japanese manufacturer ‘would like to bring to market’. That means we will be seeing more of the quirky machine, which features a faceted surface design that is said to mimic the precision cutting of a gemstone. Apparently.

Toyota added: “The frontal treatment marks a development of Toyota’s current design cues and the introduction of themes which signal a future direction for Toyota vehicles.”

We know the C-HR Concept, which will join the HR-V at the French motor show, will use a hybrid powertrain so impressive fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures are more than likely. It will go up against the likes of the Nissan Juke in the compact crossover market.

We rather like the funky styling of the C-HR Concept so here’s hoping the design is anything but watered down on the quest to production.

The public unveiling is scheduled for October 2nd – two days ahead of the Paris Motor Show. Stay tuned for more details.

In the meantime, Check out another Toyota concept that could become the Supra’s successor and the possibility of hover cars. Yes, cars that hover.
