Unlike contract or pay-as-you-go deals, SIM-free phones aren't tied to any network. The SIM-free option is perfect if you already have a contract or pay-as-you SIM but you hate your phone and want to change it. Buying SIM-free handsets isn't cheap though, so if you're on a tight budget then it might be worth thinking about getting a cheaper pay-as-you-go phone.
