The show will air directly after Tuesday’s episode on 18 June. Viewers can switch straight over to the Red Button from 9pm and watch the drama continue.

Oliver Kent, Executive Producer Holby City, said: “Holby City couldn’t be more excited to be putting out our first ever Red Button episode, which not only gives us one of those rare and delicious opportunities to go outside the world of the hospital into the home of one of our characters – but also showcases two of our most long-time, full-blooded and beloved regulars, Chrissie and Michael. Viewers can expect plenty of sparks.”

The pressures of their working and personal lives combined finally take its toll and Chrissie and Michael find that they’re an unlikely shoulder to cry on for one another. But what impact will this night have on Chrissie and Sacha’s already strained relationship?

Earlier in the year, the BBC announced it will screen Peter Kay’s new sitcom, Car Share, on its iPlayer service before being aired on BBC One. The sitcom sees two people forced to cross paths as they journey to their respective jobs at a major out-of-town supermarket. The series is set and will be filmed in the north-west.
