Lovefilm lands One Tree Hill and Terminator TV in Warner Bros deal

Touchy-feely teen drama One Tree Hill, political hit The West Wing and Terminator spin-off The Sarah Connor Chronicles have been signed up for Lovefilm’s streaming TV service.

The arrival of Warner Bros TV library on the Amazon-owned subscription service is the latest move in its war with Netflix and Sky Go.

The growing popularity of ‘box-set weekends’ among viewers has made full seasons of classic TV shows almost as important as films to subscribers.

Chris Bird, director of film strategy at Lovefilm, said: “It’s easy to see why we’re the first choice subscription service for TV fans who want to be able to access top quality programming on-demand.

“This latest content deal with Warner Bros is hugely exciting for TV fans, as even more fantastic must-see content goes live on Lovefilm Instant, including iconic titles such as The West Wing and Nip Tuck.”

Lovefilm’s recent TV additions in 2013 include BBC Worldwide’s Doctor Who and Top Gear, classic Marvel cartoons such as Iron Man, Channel 4’s Peep Show and Father Ted, and Knight Rider and other NBCUniversal shows.
