Plusnet drop unlimited broadband and calls bundle to £1.99 per month

Plusnet has dropped the price of its unlimited broadband and calls down to £1.99 a month.

The offer lasts until 18th December. Customers signing up for the deal will get that price for the next twelve months. The unlimited package comes with speeds of up to 16Mbps and unlimited monthly usage. Monthly line rental is £14.50 extra.

It also includes inclusive calls over the weekend to UK landlines, 0845 and 0870 numbers. There are also free calls to Plusnet Phone customers at all times as well as free calls to Plusnet Support.

For an additional £5 per month, customers can sign up for Plusnet Anytime which gives users anytime calls to UK landlines, 0845 and 0870 numbers as well as 25 per cent off top international call destinations.

For £7 per month extra, users call sign up for Plusnet Anytime International 300, which offers the same deal as Anytime but with 300 Anytime minutes to the top 35 international destinations.

The broadband operator is also got a special offer on unlimited fibre broadband and calls for £11.99 for the first four months (£19.99 per month thereafter). This offers broadband speeds of up to 76Mbps and unlimited monthly usage.

Tesco recently extended its 12 months of free broadband until the end of January 2014. Since offering broadband for £1.95 per month, Direct Save Telecom reported a jump in customers for its no-frills broadband. TalkTalk has also launched its SimplyBroadband low-cost broadband-only package that costs just £2.50 per month plus line rental.
