Plusnet has cut the costs of its unlimited broadband and calls products, offering up to 16Mbps broadband for £2.99/month for the first nine months of an 18 month contract.
Normally priced at £9.99/month, this deal gives you £7 off a month for the first half of the contract.
Those after some cheaper FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) broadband can also pick up Plusnet Unlimited Fibre for £12.99/month for the first nine months instead of the usual £19.99/month rate.
You’ve also got the option of taking Plusnet line rental, which works out at £14.50/month if you take it at the regular rate, or at the equivalent of £10.99/month for 12 months should you pay for a lump sum of £131.88 up front.

With Plusnet Fibre Unlimited you’d still need to have an Openreach engineer come round if you’ve not already had a VDSL modem set up in your home. The visit itself is free but you’ll need to at home foir the visit as there’s currently no way to install everything yourself.
Plusnet Unlimited broadband is an ADSL product and provides typical download speeds of up to 16Mbps over the phone line, dependent on distance and unlimited downloads with no traffic shaping.
Plusnet Fibre Unlimited provides speeds of up to 76Mbps, upload speeds of 19Mbps, unlimited downloads with no traffic management.
Free weekend calls to UK landlines (01, 02, 03, 0845 and 0870 numbers) are included as standard.
In Ofcom’s latest survey of ADSL and superfast broadband products, Plusnet ranked well in terms of speeds and connection quality, with Plusnet Fibre coming out on top in a number of areas ahead of BT and Virgin Media.
