Sky Broadband’s pre-emptive strike at BT offers a double-discount with Sky Sports

Sky has launched a dawn raid on BT with half-price broadband offers plus double discounts for subscribers who also take Sky Sports.

Sky Sports customers can get free Sky Broadband Unlimited for a year with Sky Sports, or Sky Fibre Unlimited free for six months and £20/month afterwards.

With line rental at £14.50/month, Sky claims the offer will save £201.22 over a year for standard broadband compared to BT, or £165.22 for fibre broadband against BT Infinity.

Sky TV customers without Sky Sports can get Sky Broadband Unlimited for £3.75/month for a year, or Sky Fibre Unlimited for £10/month for six months before it goes up to £20/month full price.

Even without TV, Sky Broadband Unlimited is available for £5/month for a year – everyone still has to pay line rental of £14.50/month.

The only additional cost is £2.18 for delivery of your Sky Hub wireless router, and the offer includes Sky Broadband Lite customers upgrading to Sky Broadband Unlimited.

Sky Broadband Unlimited also comes with unlimited use of Sky WiFi at thousands of The Cloud hotspots throughout the UK, plus an app which will automatically connect your phone or tablet whenever you’re in range of a hotspot.

Sky Broadband has no traffic management, line rental comes with inclusive weekend UK landline calls, and you’ll get a 12-month free trial of McAfee Internet Security Suite.
