Perving over photos of attractive strangers? Isn't that what Facebook is for? Maybe so, but before there was Facebook, there was Hot or Not. The website became famous for letting people rate photos of one another, but now it's hoping to make a similar splash on iPhone.
Hot or Not Mobile just went live, but it's actually it's more of a dating app with a location twist. You choose your sexual orientation, then see a grid of photos from people near your current location.
Rather than rate them, you can star them as a favourite, or send them a message. You can also upload your own photos from your iPhone.
The official website for the app claims it includes ratings and virtual gifts, which are nowhere to be seen in the free version that we downloaded this morning. However, there is a big Upgrade button that tries to upsell you to a £29.99 three-month subscription, so perhaps they're in that.
