EE to honour Phones 4U iPhone 6 pre-orders

An EE source has revealed that the network will try to help any Phones 4U customers who pre-ordered the Apple iPhone 6 before the company went into administration on Monday.

We were shocked earlier this week to learn that Phones 4U had gone into administration, following EE and Vodafone’s desertion to Dixons Carphone. But for customers who had already pre-ordered the new Apple iPhone 6 through Phones 4U, the news couldn’t have come at a worse time.

But now an EE source has informed us that the network has a number of iPhone 6 handsets held especially for customers who have pre-ordered Apple’s expensive new gadget through Phones 4U.

EE will honour pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 6 from any Phones 4 U customers

Customers who pre-ordered the iPhone 6 through Phones 4U just need to take their receipts into an EE store, or call EE customer services, to gain access to their reserved device.

EE hasn’t issued an official statement on the matter, so that’s all we know for now, but we’re hoping that the stock of iPhone 6s is enough to satisfy the doubtlessly huge number of pre-orders. More news when we have it.
