Add this to the ‘likely’ pile ahead of MWC next month. Samsung are no doubt rushing around, readying an array of products to set upon shining plinths in Barcelona at the end of February and if the appearance of three new model names is to be believed, we might well have three new Galaxy Tabs to feature on said plinths too.
Three User Agent Profiles - files dictating the capabilities of select mobile devices along with their model names, were spotted by Techkiddy: the GT-P3200, GT-P5200 and GT-P8200. These three devices are suspected to be the next line of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab range, serving as the third generation of tablets.
According to Engadget, the smallest of the three; the GT-P3200 is suspected to be a 7-inch tablet with a relatively low WSVGA (600x1024) resolution display. The GT-P5200 could well be an 8-inch or 8.9-inch successor to the previous Galaxy Tab featuring the same screen size, this time with a WXGA (800x1280) resolution panel and the third tablet; the GT-P8200 looks to slot into the 10.1-inch display size nicely.
The last of the three actually popped up on AnTuTu benchmark too which added a few other pieces of the puzzle to the top notch 2,560 x 1,600 display it’s said to be supporting (the same resolution display already found on the Samsung-made Google Nexus 10 10-inch tablet). Specs wise the GT-P8200 was seen as employing a 1.7GHz processor and running Android 4.2.1 - the same version of Jelly Bean currently on the likes of the Nexus 4.
If we’re lucky we’ll catch a better glimpse at at least one of these new tablets before they break cover at MWC next month.
