The cellular version of the iPad Mini will be available to buy in the UK and Vodafone is the latest network to announce pricing.
Unlike the other networks, which have a wide range of tariffs, Vodafone only has one tariff for the iPad Mini, priced is £27 a month for 2GB data, paying £49 for the tablet - £50 cheaper than Orange and T-Mobile.
Prices vary tremendously between networks. Three offers the most competitive tariffs for data use, starting at £29 a month for 15GB data. If you are considering an Orange tariff with 250MB of data, then it’s better value to instead get the iPad Mini from T-Mobile - where you get more data for the same price. If you are looking for a free iPad Mini you’ll be disappointed - the majority of networks are charging for the device.
Availability varies tremendously too. The Orange website states it is ‘out of stock,’ while T-Mobile says ‘Please allow 35 days for delivery’ and Three is estimating delivery on Friday 7th December 2012. At Vodafone the tablet is in stock with delivery expected within 2-4 days. So if you are ordering as a Christmas present, make sure you check it will arrive.
