HTC One (M8) goes on sale in the UK today. Globally available come April

In HTC’s single biggest product rollout ever, the newly annoucned HTC One (M8) kicks off availability in the UK as of right now. Go get it.

We love phone launches, but waiting months for the shiny new devices in our hands to actually hit the high street can be agonising, something HTC clearly understands with the rollout its granted its new flagship, the HTC One (M8).

HTC One (M8) devices

At the London launch, HTC confirmed that the M8 is already on the store shelves of key brick and mortar outlets throughout the UK. Phones4U confirmed its Tottenham Court Road, Kensington, Oxford Circus and White City stores all have HTC One (M8)s on-hand to try and buy if the mood takes you, so what about everyone else?

 

EE

The UK’s largest network and the best overall UK network (according to a recent independent survey) will stock the HTC One (M8) online from tomorrow and in its stores from Friday. Pick up a device before April 10th and you’ll also receive double the data allowance, which equates to 4GB on a £37.99 monthly EE Extra plan, plus unlimited calls and texts throughout the UK and Europe. This also includes a £29.99 handset cost off the bat.

To sweeten the deal even further, those eager enough to pick up a handset before that April 10th cut off will also receive a free return flight to Europe to test out the networks’ roaming deals.

O2

Grab an HTC One on a myriad of plans at O2, ranging from £13 a month for 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data over 4G with an upfront handset cost of £609.99, right up to £48 a month for unlimited minutes and texts, 8GB of data over 4G and a handset cost of just £19.99.

Phones 4u

The quickest on the draw with regards to availability information, as we mentioned earlier, Phones 4u already has the new One available to pick up and play as well as take away at its stores in White City, Kensington, Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus. SIM-free the retailer is selling it for £529.99, or for £42 a month on a two year 4G plan with a free handset.

Wider availability in the company’s high street stores is set to be complete by Thursday this week and those who pick up a One on a 4G plan will also receive an HTC BoomBass portable speaker, a case and £25 of Google Play store credit.

Three

One of the latest UK carriers to offer up 4G, Three has added the HTC One (M8) to its books already. Head on over to the network’s website (looks like they’re currently updating it at present) or high street stores to pick one up. For £49 upfront, it can be had on any one of four different 24 month plans starting at £38 a month for 600 minutes and 2GB of data (with a £49 handset cost), up to £44 a month for unlimited data and minutes.

Vodafone

Voda too is already stocking the M8 in many of its stores and offers a free handset with a £42-a-month 3G Red plan. That means unlimited calls and texts and a few GB of data too. The first 3000 buyers will also nab HTC’s BoomBass speaker dock on top.

Like we said earlier, this is HTC’s biggest rollout for a single product to date, with over 100 countries receiving the handset across more than 230 carriers worldwide. 30 stores across the UK have the new HTC One (M8) on their shelves today, whilst the whole of the UK should have it in stock by Thursday and the Middle-East, Europe and Africa should have it by the end of April.
