HTC One X+ spotted in unreleased O2 brochure

HTC kicked off 2012 with a bang when they brought the One Series to market. The two top dogs, the HTC One S and One X were the latest and greatest devices to come out of the Taiwanese manufacturer, with the One X heading up the charge of quad-core powered Android smartphones ahead of the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S3 as well as sporting a new design direction for the company.

Now it would appear that a successor to this powerhouse is waiting in the wings, based on a photo sent to GSMArena from a tipster. The image in question appears to be lifted from a yet unreleased copy of O2’s latest catalogue showing the HTC One X+: a beefier version of the already powerful HTC One X breathing new life into the One Series brand without having to develop an entirely new handset.

The One X+, pictured here in black, for all intents and purposes uses the same body as the One X, however as the Sensation evolved into the Sensation XE, the One X+ also utilises red capacitive keys rather than white, most likely to push the Beats Audio partnership which HTC maintain.

It’s inside where the differences really shine, with the processor jumping from a 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor to a 1.7GHz quad-core along with 64GB of internal storage in addition to HTC’s Dropbox partnership offer of 25GB of cloud storage on top and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. What’s more, the pricing on PAYG is listed as £479.99, although the device is still clearly marked coming soon. We’ll keep our eyes peeled as we suspect the HTC One X+ may touch down in the UK very soon.
