Motorola readying Android 3.0 launcher?

Remember back before Windows Phone 7 took over our lives we all used to love Android? Well, get ready to remember why. It looks like Motorola is working on a top secret, heavily NDA-ed Gingerbread (Android 3.0) launch handset featuring NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor.

The dual-core Gingerbread handset is rumoured to offer web browsing and gaming performance that’s faster than a greased weasel on an ice rink – gaming is going to be a focus of Android 3.0 and the processing power behind the Motorola launcher certainly seems to reflect that.

We are working from rumours here, of course, but NVIDIA’s Product Marketing Director, Matt Wuebbling, has confirmed that the company is working with Motorola so we know at least that much is true.

AndroidAndMe‘s source suggests that the so-called superphone will be officially unveiled at CES in January 2011.
