Motorola Shadow MB810: Milestone sequel leaked?

Motorola has yet to announce the follow up to last year’s excellent Milestone but this, the so-called Motorola Shadow, could well be it.

Rumours of a Motorola phone codenamed Shadow first appeared on the radar last year, but then sank without a trace.

Over the weekend a Motorola device called the MB810 was submitted to the Wi-Fi Alliance for approval, causing the Shadow rumours to resuface.

Rumoured specs include Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) a huge 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen and an 8-megapixel camera. The display reportedly supports HD video playback (1080p) and the camera can record HD video (720p). A mini HDMI jack is also included which means that the Motorola MB810 could give the Nokia N8 a run for its money in the TV-out department.

Memory appears to be limited to just 512MB. If these specs are genuine then let’s hope that Google finally allows us Android users to install apps to SD cards before the MB810 hits the shelves.

If this render is anything to go by then the Motorola MB810 looks like the lovechild of a Milestone and a Motorola Aura – we like it. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more news on this mysterious handset.
