LG show no signs of slowing, despite recent news that it’s had to cut sales targets for its phone range, including the Optimus 3D and Optimus 2X.

The latest addition looks set to be the LG Optimus Pro.

As we've all learnt by now, 'Pro' in mobile terms inevitably means a physical keyboard, and LG’s version is no different, with bright white and yellow lettering labelling the dinky Qwerty keys.

According the specifications, spotted in Italy, it’ll be the first Android 2.3 (Gingebread) from LG.

The Optimus 3D and Optimus still lag behind the competition with the increasingly old Android 2.2; we’ve been promised updates are forthcoming, but we wait with bated breath.

Other details include a middle-of-the-road 2.8-inch screen and 3-megapixel camera, but if you’re all about the business you shouldn’t be too worried about the camera specs. The smaller screen size shouldn't prove to be a massive issue, given that touchscreen typing is moot.

Italian Android fansite Android World says that it’s already up for sale, with an as-yet unconfirmed price-tag of £159 (€179). It sounds like a bit of a bargain if it arrives at a similar price in the UK.
