We heard whispers on the wind that Google were testing Ice Cream Sandwich on the Nexus S internally, and now they’ve decided to share it with the whole world. Starting from today, Google will be pushing ICS 4.0.3 to Nexus S owners over the following weeks. If you haven’t already seen the update, go ahead and manually check: you might find a nice surprise waiting for you.

Even if you checked and there was still nothing, you can manually apply the update to your phone, if you’re feeling brave. Android Central has instructions for you to follow which are relatively straightforward.

Nexus S owners will get to enjoy the many benefits of Ice Cream Sandwich, including a completely overhauled design and user interface, better multitasking, improved lock screen, Face Unlock, improved keyboard, and much more.
