Four new Nokia handsets are expected to be announced soon after their numbers – Nokia 305, Nokia 306, Nokia 311 and Nokia 605 – appeared on the company’s website.
The four handsets were all mentioned as being compatible with Nokia’s Medium Universal Pouch CP-594.
The page showing the pouch has since been removed from the Nokia website, although Google still has a cached version of it.
A manual for the Nokia 306 has also apparently leaked online at NokiaPort.de and seems to indicate that this will be the first phone in Nokia’s Asha series to include a full touchscreen. Previous Nokia 202 and 203 Asha handsets featured half touchscreens, while the 302 came with a full QWERTY keyboard.
Features apparently confirmed by the leaked 306 manual include: capacitive touchscreen (240 x 412 pixels); Wi-Fi; microSD card slot, Bluetooth; microUSB; FM radio; and a BL-4U 1100 mAh Li-Ion battery. However, there was no mention yet of possible standby and talk times.
Nokia’s Asha series of phones are inexpensive S40 UI handsets aimed at emerging markets.
