Panasonic Eluga Power: HD display, buttonless sides

After seeing the Panasonic Eluga in Hamburg, there was a fair amount of murmur that another handset was waiting in the wings for an MWC release. MWC under way and it’s here, the Panasonic Eluga Power. A 5-inch screened device with a 720p display on-board, screen specs are in line with all the greatest handsets being announced such as the HTC One X and the Sony Xperia S announced at CES. This coupled with its slender 9.6mm thick chassis and it looks like we’re onto a winner.

Just looking at the renders above, it looks like Panasonic have sacrificed any buttons on either side for sleek, streamline lines and the device certainly looks sharp. With an 8-megapixel camera, 1080p video, 8GB of storage as well as a microSD card slot, we can also expect this to be a competent imaging handset.

Other highlights include super-fast charging with 50% refill taking half an hour, water and dustproofing as well as NFC. So there’s plenty unique about this 5-inch HD slender-phone. We’ll be bringing you a hands-on at MWC along with more information as and when we get it.
