Sony has renamed its PlayStation Suite mobile gaming application and announced it will be coming to HTC smartphones.
The PlayStation Suite application is a portal to Sony PlayStation Certified games, but until now has only been found on Sony phones and tablets, like the Xperia Play and Xperia S. PlayStation Suite will now be called PlayStation Mobile and will be available for the HTC One series of handsets including the HTC One X and HTC One S through the Sony PlayStation Certified licence system.
The announcement was made at gaming conference E3 currently taking place in the US. It appears HTC won’t be the only hardware manufacturer Sony partners with, although no other company has been named yet, interestingly according to Slash Gear, it will be available for Android and Windows Phone devices.
The PlayStation Mobile Developer Program, has been in open beta since April, so developers can start creating games
This is great news for HTC fans, with its huge 4.7-inch screen and quad-core processor the phone is a fantastic choice for gaming and it's also good to see Sony open its titles to other manufacturers, a wise move as mobile gaming becomes more popular.
