Samsung must be a pretty happy right now as its latest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S3, has managed to stir up a frenzy of excitement previously only seen at an Apple iPhone or iPad launch and has racked up a very impressive 9 million pre-orders thus far.
The third-generation version of its Galaxy series will be launched in more then 100 carriers globally from 30th May. The Korean Economic Daily (via Reuters) has reported that Samsung's smartphone factory in South Korea is running at full capacity, which is a mouthwatering 5 million units per month. Hopefully Sammy will be able to match global demand for the new device then.
Samsung announced early this week that those with pre-orders from its brand store in London's Westfield Stratford City store will be able to pick up the device a day early, from 6pm 29th May. It also offered this to its UK partners, but an hour later at 7pm.
The Galaxy range has been a huge success for Samsung, in fact the Korean tech company stole Apple's crown as the world's largest smartphone maker in the first quarter of 2012.
