Sony Ericsson Aspen: Windows Mobile goes green

When we think of Aspen we think of snow, skiing and that scene from Dumb and Dumber when Jeff Daniels gets his tongue stuck to the ski lift. Nineties movie associations aside, the Sony Ericsson Aspen is the most impressive-looking GreenHeart phone we’ve seen so far.

Previous phones from the eco-friendly GreenHeart line-up ticked all the right boxes when it came to environmental credentials but they lacked features – the Aspen changes this.

The Aspen boasts Windows Mobile (6.5.3) a Qwerty keypad, 2.4-inch touchscreen, 3G and Wi-Fi. This makes it an ideal choice for business users looking for a greener handset.

It’s also a good choice for anyone who spends a lot of time on Facebook and wants to lessen the environmental impact of their social networking addiction.

Other features of the Sony Ericsson Aspen include GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 3.5mm audio jack. We don’t know how much it will cost or when it will be available just yet, but we expect that the Sony Ericsson Aspen should be on sale by the summer.
