Announced yesterday evening at MWC 2012 in Barcelona, the Sony Xperia P and U have thus-far been price-less. Literally with no information in sight. The illustrious Tej over at Xperia Blog has however revealed exactly what you'll have to lay down in order to bag yourself one of the new Sony Xperia handsets.
While we already know the Xperia S pricing is €499, the Xperia P will cost just less at €449 while the Xperia U will cost a €259. With the Xperia S retailing for roughly £430, we can use the same conversion rates to place the Sony Xperia P at £387 and the Sony Xperia U at £223. These prices should suggest 24 month contract prices to fall under the £30 per month price and we think they're pretty reasonable, especially the Xperia U.
If you missed our coverage of the Xperia P and U yesterday, the Xperia P packs a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor with a uni-body aluminium construction and 4-inch White Magic display. The Sony Xpera U sports a considerably smaller 3.5-inch display with a 1GHz processor and a 5-megapixel camera. In addition, the U features swappable bottom ends for additional customisation.
Sony have put together some slick marketing videos that get you up close and personal with the Sony Xperia S and U. You can enjoy them here and look forward to our upcoming hands-on and reviews on the way soon.
