Remember this Three product line up that was leaked back in March? The numerical network offered a rather nebulous statement at the time, but it now looks to have been pretty genuine. Since then we’ve seen the HTC Flyer, Nokia X7 and Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc all arrive on Three. But what of the mysterious ‘Galaxy S2 Mini’ we heard about back then?
Though no phone of that name has appeared on anyone’s radar since, some of the specs listed - 1.4GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread - tally with those of the Galaxy S Plus, which we got to have a quick play around with yesterday.
Then again, there’s a couple of specs that don’t totally match up; the leaked list said that the ‘S2 Mini’ would have a flash (the S Plus doesn’t) and would have a 3.7-inch screen (the S Plus’ screen is 4-inches). The spec sheet however could have been referring to an earlier build however.
This also doesn’t rule out the S Plus ever coming to Three. Three wasn’t forthcoming on the availability of the S Plus. But when we spoke to Samsung earlier, we were told that Vodafone didn’t have an exclusive on the phone, so expect further announcements from other networks along the way.
