LG Mobile Phones

LG is a leading manufacturer of electronic products, which are sold in the UK and around the world, including flat-screen HDTVs, Blu-ray drives and other digital media products.

An area of focus for the company is mobile phones and LG launched its first phone in 1996. Since then LG has developed different handsets, from basic entry-level models, to smartphones running Windows Phone and Android.

LG smartphones

LG’s had huge success in the mid 2000s with feature phones like the LG Cookie and LG Chocolate, while its Android debut, the LG Optimus One was a big seller too.

LG has proved innovative within the mobile space. The LG Prada was the first touchscreen phone; the Optimus 2X was the first dual-core handset to hit the UK and the Optimus 3D the first 3D phone. Despite this LG has struggled to match the success of HTC and Samsung. The company has been slow to provide software updates, a move that has frustrated fans and something the company really needs to improve.

LG current range features some impressive smartphones to suit all budgets, including flagship the quad core LG Optimus 4X HD and the LG Prada 3.0, a stylish and powerful Android smartphone.

LG deals

Whilst LG’s UK range of smartphones are not as widely popular as the leading competitors, the smartphones have plenty to offer, with great specifications and there are selection of models available. Compare LG smartphones to see the models on offer, along with the contract, Pay As You Go or SIM only options.
