Android 4.3 has leaked for the Nexus 4

Android 4.3 still seems to keep popping up in various guises, with the latest version of Android finally leaking out onto the internet for all to try and dissect. Android Police managed to share an Android 4.3 ROM from a Nexus 4 purchased from a Google employee, with the site swiftly dumping the software to share out to eager flashers in the community.

Right now, though, the software will only work on a Nexus 4. And it’s not entirely clear what Android 4.3 brings to the table either. At first glance, there doesn’t seem to be anything visually different in the update, with all the changes possibly happening under the hood instead. Still, people will no doubt be rummaging through the software to find all the changes, so we’ll find out exactly what’s changed soon enough.

We’ll probably get a comprehensive list of changes from Google on July 24th too. The company is hosting an Android event next week that could show off Android 4.3, and maybe even the refreshed Nexus 7. Rumours have suggested that the tablet could include a new 7-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 5-megapixel rear camera. There’s even an early hint of pricing, with a leaked inventory listing suggesting that the base 16GB model will see a slight jump to $229, up from $199.
