Samsung Vodafone 360 H1 Review: First Look
Samsung Vodafone 360 H1 User Reviews
"When I get my new phone, I will have a ceremonial burning of this terrible phone. I wouldn't even sell it, it's so bad."
"Agree with all the negative reviews, had all the same problems and more. Ive had the phone 9 months and had it replaced three times and repaired once. Have always had samsung handsets but don't plan to have one again."
"Have had an H1 for almost a year now and have to say that the phone itself is fabulous, I love it. The real problems are 360 is such a clunky piece of garbage with little or no control. A seriously miss thought out piece of work from Vodaphone and if they want to attract people to their side of the social networking fence then they have a seriously long way to go (I got so fed up I logged out and don't ever intend letting the phone log in again. The second and a truly serious dissapointment is that this superb powerful phone with it's amazing amoled screen is criminally let down by the loaded browser. Why oh why couldn't we have had Android on the H1. The phone is so slow on WiFi or 3 internet access as to make it completely useless, By the time you've attempted to look something up you might as well have walked to your local library and done it the old fashioned way. So, until 360 is sorted and Android on the H1 I wouldn't recomend this phone, there are better, more efficient and faster phones out there."
"this is the worst phone i have ever owned so so slow after taking me 0 mins to open a message"
"Pros:
-Friendly user interface, excellent camera with many functions, and usefull tools.
-Auto pictures backup, meaning you don´t need a cable or a PC to download the pictures. -You can attach pics as attachments, or publish via Facebook. -You can manage your contacts from the 360.com website.
-Excellent touch screen response
-Decent Battery time: normal use, it lasts between 2 to 3 days.
-The GPS works great, and the navigation systems es perfect. (better than my real GPS) Cons:
-If you use the bluetooth + wi-fi + gps navigation + watch many videos, the battery won´t make it through a day. (but all this new smart phones are like that, at least it lasts more than the iphone battery)
-The contacts list could be a bit messy when you add all your accounts, i.e. hotmail, gmail, yahoo, facebook, etc... and you end up with many duplicates that you need to merge.
-The keyboard is ok, but the punctuation symbols are in the numeric keyboard, and you have to switch all the time, between the qwerty and the numeric keyboard, in order to write properly.
-The web browser, Opera, is not very good, and usually crashes."
"Literally the worst phone I have ever owned ever. I originally wanted an iphone but since Vodafone in the netherlands doesn't have iphones (for some reason or another) I was told this phone was "much better than the iphone) The first day of owning it I found everything to be EXTREMELY sluggish, even scrolling through the applications on the home screen is slow. Next, the internet. The internet on this phone is so poor, and so slow, you would be better off trying to access it on a computer from 1995, and that's if you can even access the internet, 99.9% of the time, after about 30 seconds to a minute online the internet crashes and the phone freezes. Surprisingly none of this bothered me as much as the text messaging. If you are on the dialogue screen of you and your friends conversation, and he/she sends a new text to you, you have to quit messaging, go to home screen, click open messages, and then go all the way back into the message, even though you can already see what they've typed in the message. Don't buy this phone, it sucks SOOO BAD, terrible, terrible, so bad."
"Appalling phone and dreadful service. As mentioned elsewhere the instructions supplied are inadequate as is the on-line version. Also awkward and complicated to use and the qualty of reception (no matter how strong the signal) is awful! Avoid at all costs!"
"Please, please, please, I absolutely implore anyone reading this review that is considering getting a Samsung H1 - do not get this phone, repeat DO NOT GET THIS PHONE. It is quite simply the worst phone I have ever ever ever had, or ever used. It's apalling, absolutely apalling. I'm going to bullet point why; - No instruction manual, everything is on-line. I don't care if Samsung want to save the universe, I want a booklet that I can read through! - Fiddly - basically I don't think that I have managed to type a text without an unforced spelling mistake yet. It's nion inmpossible to type text messages with and when you rotate it to make the typing easier, it basically decides whether or not it wants to tilt. It seems to have a mind of it's own. - Sometimes when I have used it, the screen decides to stay alight, and when I investigate further, I find that the tilting mechanism is still moving. There are many other reasons why this phone is apalling, but I haven't the time to tell you. Just don't get this phone - it's as simple as that."
"this is the worst phone EVER, I had this phone for 5 moths and it has been sent for repair 3 times, its unresponsive, slow, difficult to use, terrible apps, crashes, throws you off the internet alot! no stars for the samsung h1 im opting for the n97 mini (the safer option)"
"Nice try Samsung, but this phone falls so short to what was promised. frustrating to use. over-complicated interface. lack of information. horrible to surf the net with because of the unresponsive touch screen. hated the phone. am sending it back."
"this phone in terms of technology is superb, it is powerful, expandable, with an amazing Amoled display thats bright and beuatiful, with a superb camera, however the programing is what lets this phone down. it's bland and square and seriously lacking in charm or fun. it freezes and is often clunky, over complicated and sometimes slow. there are very very few apps available. some are great but are expensive are are generaly games like sims 3. you cant really customise the phone. the 360 program is a lovely idea but is seriously short sighted. the 3D contacts menu looks lovely but make searching for a contact a real chore, the list is better. it also takes ages to set up and get your contacts sorted ...i'm talking 3-4 hours at least if you have a lot of social network friends. also it fails to understand that many people social network information is outdated so you end up with loads of out of date emails etc. vodaphone push email simply doesn't seem to work and nobody seems to know why. If only this phone had been programed by android it would have been astounding."
