Vodafone £120 Freebee Rewardz Cinema Pass rivals Orange Wednesdays

Vodafone pay-as-you-go users can bag £10 a month to spend on cinema visits in 2014 with its latest Freebee Rewardz offer, rivalling EE’s long-running Orange Wednesdays.

The Freebee Rewardz Cinema Pass is open to anyone who buys a Vodafone PAYG handset worth more than £50 and tops up with £20 of Freedom Freebee credit.

Vodafone said: “Customers can use the Cinema Pass to treat themselves at selected cinemas to anything from tickets and popcorn, to confectionery or drinks.

“All customers have to do is ensure their smartphone is activated, their Freedom Freebee has been applied and they’ve registered.”

Customers have to buy their new handset and credit by December 31, and register before January 14, 2014 at the Cinema Pass website.

You’ll need the IMEI number of your new handset – just dial *#06# to see it on your screen (and make a note in case it’s ever stolen), then you’ll be sent a credEcarplus prepaid Visa card to top up each month.

You can use the Cinema Pass at any cinema in the UK displaying the Visa symbol, for popcorn, drinks and snacks as well as tickets.

The Freedom Freebee pack includes 500 minutes, 1GB of data and unlimited texts with each £20 top-up.

EE’s Orange Wednesdays offer has been running since 2003, and allows any Orange customer to get two-for-one cinema tickets at most UK cinemas every Wednesday, for the price of a text – although some cinemas (Odeon – naughty!) levy a small surcharge.
