Hyundai Mobile UK looks set to bring its latest "cutting-edge" handset to the market in the form of the MB-910 phone watch.

Following strong interest at the Mobile World Congress, which also saw LG unveil the world's first touch watch mobile, Hyundai plans to make the model available in Britain by the midway point of this year.

Expected to retail at a "competitively-priced" £200 sim-free, the feature-packed watch phone comes equipped with a Bluetooth handset to enable hands-free talk, and is already selling well in mainland Europe.

Graham Jelfs, head of marketing and communications for Hyundai Mobile UK, said the MB-910 represents "the perfect marriage between cool functionality and classic looks".

He added: "At this year's Mobile World Congress it became something of a talking point and drew much attention to the Hyundai stand."

"For gadget lovers and mobile phone aficionados alike the MB-910 has the potential to become the ultimate, must-have accessory."

The wristwatch-style handset aims to offer consumers "the latest in technology at an affordable price" and also features video playback, music player and touchscreen functionality.

Hyundai Mobile plans to announce further details shortly and has "high hopes" concerning its launch in the UK.

LG's G910 wristwatch style phone proved to be one of the major talking points when it launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and is set to hit the market later this year.

Orange has already secured a deal to become the first operator to offer the device, which will go on sale in flagship stores across Europe and offers "a totally new kind of mobile multimedia experience".
