LG GD880 Mini: Seductively small

By Thomas Newton on Tuesday, 9th February 2010

Despite being billed as world's smallest and slimmest phone with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, the LG Mini has got quite a lot running under the hood. It boasts HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS, and the touchscreen display features an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The Mini's 'social network connect' service aggregates your contacts' Facebook and Twitter profiles next to their numbers in the address book, which we like.

On the back there's a 5-megapixel camera without a flash but there is face-detection.

As you can see the LG GD880 Mini comes in black with some rather fetching metal accents on the top and sides. We expect colour variants to appear at a later date.

It will go on sale in the UK in April for what LG is calling a "reasonable price." We reckon you'll be able to pick up an LG Mini for free on a monthly contract and for around £150 on pay as you go. In case you were wondering exactly how small it is, the LG GD880 Mini measures 48mm wide by 102mm tall by 11mm deep and weighs 99 grams.
