It's sometimes easy to forget that mobile phones are primarily used to actually talk to people. In this age of touchscreens and flashy multimedia devices some people actually still want a phone that has a decent battery so they can actually make some calls. If you are one of those people then the Nokia E52 may be the phone for you.

Recently announced at an event in Warsaw, Nokia has decided to forgo the usual tactic of cramming in as much tech as possible. Instead it has decided that they should boast about the E52's battery life, which promises an astounding 8 hours of talk time.

So battery life is the E52's main strength. Along with the 8 hours of talk time the E52 is capable of an impressive 23 days of standby time. This should mean that should only have to charge the E52 once or twice a month, depending on usage. Imagine that! A phone that you don't have to charge up every other day would certainly be very convenient.

In addition to the magnificent battery life, the E52 has further innovations that will actually help you talk to people. The E52 has built in noise cancellation which should work to filter out any persistent external noises, which means overall call quality should be a lot better.

Thankfully Nokia has included some tech to appease the geek crowd. It has A-GPS, Wi-Fi and a HSUPA data connection along with a 3.2 megapixel camera. The E52 also has Lotus Notes for all you business users. According to engadget the Nokia E52 should be available in the second half of the year, pricing has yet to be announced but we assume it will come free on a monthly contract.
