Today we got our hands on the official TomTom iPhone car kit, which is available to buy from the Apple store for about £100. Our initial impressions of the car kit are that it offers a competent windscreen mount solution and there is a slight improvement when it came to finding a GPS signal. The hands-free call quality however was not as big an improvement as we'd hoped for -- in fact it sounded pretty bad. Overall we wouldn't mind owning one but we're not prepared to pay £100 for it.
