Kindle Fire HD gets ESPN UK app

ESPN UK has launched a new app that will allow Kindle Fire HD tablet users to get their fix of sports news and action.

The ESPN UK app is now available to download on the Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablet from the Amazon App Store.

The app brings together access to their favourite sports from ESPN.co.uk, EPSNcricinfo, ESPNFC, ESPNF1 and ESPN.com. In 2013, ESPN reached an average of more than 3.5 million UK fans per month, with more than 2.1 million coming via mobile.

The feed-based app gives control to the fan, using an API-driven news feed which updates in real-time, delivering a curated top stories menu, as well as a customisable feed that delivers latest news and content as it comes in.

The app offers simple, one-touch navigation, personalisation and filtering of content based on fans favourite sports, leagues and teams. A fan’s individual news and content stream can be as wide-reaching or as narrowly focused as they want. With a single swipe, fans can move to a real-time all-sports feed to keep a finger on the pulse of the latest in sport.

Both the MyESPN personalised stream and the all-sport stream can be filtered by the type of content a user wants to receive — live scores, results, news, analysis, video, Twitter and Facebook posts, and much more.

User can download the app now.
