The Samsung Tocco Lite is an inexpensive touchscreen phone that keeps things simple -- but is it too simple?
What we like
Considering it’s a budget touchscreen phone the Tocco Lite’s display is bright and crisp and very responsive – texting and dialling is easy. The Lite uses a series of customisable widgets that display services such as a clock, and links to social networking sites.
We found the interface basic but straightforward. On the back there’s a 3.2-megapixel camera which takes ok photos in daylight but there’s no LED photo light or flash so pictures in low light are poor.
What we don’t like
Similar to the LG Cookie, the Tocco Lite is very basic and there’s no 3G, no Wi-Fi and no GPS. We may have liked it more if there was a standard 3.5mm headphone jack but you don’t even get that.
Conclusion
The Samsung Tocco Lite is fine if you just want a touchscreen and the very basics. The touchscreen is very responsive and bright which is great but don’t buy this phone if you want mobile Internet access or if you want to download apps.

"It's a good phone, but the camera isn't great as even the slightest movement means the picture comes out blurry :/ Also, be warned you will get sick of touchscreen after a while.. but that's the same with every touchscreen phone :) If you type too quick it will take a while to catch up, but other than that, if you just want a good phone for texting/calling/occasionally taking a picture then go for it :)"

"This phone is poor. It has a nice display but the functionality is all very basic. For example, the radio only displays the radio frequency and not the station name. The voice mail is fiddly and took me a while to adjust to pressing the lock key while listening to your messages so you can open thekepypad to tap in the numbers when you want to save or delete a message. Internet is ok, nothing better. My £15 Sony Ericcson was better value. Save your money and buy a better phone."

"Ive gotta say the only problem i had with this phone is getting the back off. You wouldn't belive how long i took to get it off, and the message memory, there is probally some way to store them else where, but other than these to problems very good phone."

"i bought this phone 2 days ago and cant stop playing with it!! no problem whatso ever. its simple and elegant. the only downsider to this fone is that it doesnt have flash so the photos in bad light are verry poor :( . im not complaing at all though this fone is amazing to use , also very easy to use! QWERTY keybord also the apps are good also the themes are a bit of a pain but a good review i must say! ("

"Really slick, easy to handle, easy to text and in my opinion much more better than the LG cookie. Cookie freezes very frequently and is hard to be patient with, however this phone has a really fast response. No wifi or 3G but good phone overall. I would call that 100 quid well spent."

"I bought this phone 5 days ago (had a lucky escape and nearly was talked into the F480 Tocco). It is a really great phone I have had a few smart phones over the years but this is great. I found the menu a bit quirky at time in the way its laid out did not seem very logical for instance took some time to work out how to correctly size the wallpaper but once worked it out it really is simple call quality is good no dropped calls. Internet not exactly fast but I knew that and it wasn’t important to me however it works very well. I found it a good looking very functional phone can highly recommend and the only reason I am taking the time to do this is because I was nearly put of purchasing this phone due to some bad reports. This phone rocks been comparing it at work to the likes of the Tocco, and the LG and it leaves them standing, in my opinion this phone would easily sell at a much higher price."
