Sony Ericsson C905 User Reviews

"ive had the c905 for bout 5 months and ive had it in shops 6 times coz of the speaker i put it in for the 7th tym n d shop couldnt fix it. the thing is it is such a good fone the camera is so clear n good. i dont wana reallt get a new fone coz i payed £290 for it. im usin a hands free it can be annoyin at times but u no. i rung up sony they sed i can send it off i asked if it would fixed 2eva n they sed it might not be. so really ther is no point sendin it off. i am upset about it."

"have had this phone for 8 months and iam on my 7th phone! its a really nice easy to use phone with a fantastic camera and large memory got over 500 photos, 68 vids and 120 music tracks but it has to many faults. I have had the screen break twice the speaker twice and the rest with software faults and each time i get same crappy nokia loan phone what i got rid of in the first place. I dont think i would get a sony ericsson again even if they are nice phones they just dont last!"

"I agree that the cameras is amazing on this phone. But there are lot of faults with the phone itself. My partner and I both have a C905 and they in for repair more than we have them out ranging from speaker problems to dropping calls. I am surprised that no-one has mentioned yet about the video calling. The camera to use for this is on the back of the phone! This means that to video call someone, you have to look at the back of the phone for them to be able to see you. What a waste of time and money video calling. I am very disppointed with this feature particularly. I would not recommend this phone. The camera quality is good but if I was you avoid it like the plague!"

"Not a good phone at all I have had 3 and all of them the ear piece has stopped working not a good phone strongly don't recommend this phone"

"I believe this is a must have. i got the unlocked version for just $498. this is a great phone with excellent features. sound on this phone is awesome just like every SE."

"had mine for two months lovely phone amazing camere but battery life poor and the left key on mt nav pad has just stopped working but still nowhere near as bad as the Nokia smartphones ive owned"

"Ive had the c905 for alomst 3 months now and its about to go for its 3rd repair. The phone speakers have stopped working, the C button has packed in and when searching for contacts it cant go through the alphabet. For a £400+ phone its reliability is absolutley shocking. I have had samsungs before and their reliabilty is so much better than the C905."

"Got this phone on contract, and quite liking it as both a phone and a camera. Can't fault it as a phone, though it has a problem of freezing in off mode occasionally, so I have to take the battery out to reset it. The camera is fairly decent, tho the colours are not as warm as I would like, low light performance is decent. Other connectivity is not too bad, I find the wifi to be a bit fiddly getting connection, but that maybe the network. So overall a good phone/ camera to carry around"

"I have had this phone a month and am really disappointed. The reliability is rubbish, the navigation keypad has stopped working on the down button and from the reviews, I can see this is a common problem. I am on contract and am paying quite a lot for a phone that doesn't work properly!!!!"

"When i first got the phone it was amazing, the camera was perfect and the sat-nav and the way it shows were your picture was taken is incredible after about 2 months of having it, first of all the ear piece jsut stoped working, i never i dropped the phone once about a week after having it, it didnt get dropped anytime near the ear piece cutting out, there isnt a scratch on the phone.. the secound problem was then that the navigation keys would randomly stop and start working, somtimes the left wouldnt work and the rest would, then the rest of the buttons on the tops part of the phone started doing the same, this happend in the space of two days, the phones mic then stopped working so no one could here me, and now on the third day the phone has turned off and wont turn back on..not happy when im paying 35 a month for this 'top of the range' phone.."

"The C905 is a great phone, there is no denying that, but its reliability is shocking! I only had the C905 for two weeks before something went wrong, the first problem was that the earpiece/speaker just stopped working! I can only make calls using the loudspeaker, which isnt always convenient! Secondly, the "C" button has stopped working as well as the "down" navigation key. Another problem i had was that on a few occassions the phone has frozen.. I did not expect any problems such as these from a high quality phone like the C905! Luckily for me, i was able to get a replacement phone and im hoping none of the probelms iv had will happen again. Saying that i do like the C905, as it has many features that other top end phones dont have, in particular, the camera, it is amazing! Although, I dont think I will get another Sony Ericsson handset after my contract on this one runs out, I think I will go back to Samsung!"

"I decided to get this phone when I was looking for a new digital camera, and I realised I could save shelling out now by getting a decent camera phone on a contract offer. I've now got an 8 megapixel camera with 16 times zoom, that can pick out faces in a picture and lets me make A3 size pictures with one click. The flash is excellent and still works really well outdoors, and there's also a red eye removal feature. I've had several different digital cameras before, but this is my first camera phone and its as easy to use as any of them.As for the other features, I've not really used them. It works every bit as well as a phone as my last one and the battery lasts, even when I use the camera a lot and has a nice slip-open design to fit easily into my pocket."

"This is the best phone I've ever had in terms of picture quality. It's got an 8.2 megapixel camera which is the highest I've ever seen on a phone, and the flash is amazing, even in near total darkness you can get decent results out. It does loads of unique things with the pictures as well, for example it's easy to upload them and send them by email without plugging into a computer, and you can combine the camera with the GPS to tag the pictures by location. Memory size seems okay and I haven't had to empty it yet, even with a few songs on there."

"A really nicely designed phone. The slider design means that it feels like using a digital camera when taking pictures and the overall feel and build quality seems very sturdy. The music player is good and easy to use, even with the standard headphones that come with it, and it's simple to download songs because the phone works with WiFi as well as the normal phone signal. I've put an 8 meg memory stick in mine, so it can store lots of pictures and music and had no problems moving them to and from my computer so far."

"Pictures on this phone have been sharp and clear and have found camera in general really easy to use. The 'xenon' flash is really bright and videos are clear too, and it works well with Facebook and emails. The satnav GPS function is an odd thing to have on a phone, but it has come in very handy and is more accurate than the one that came with my brother's car!"

"First of all, my C905 works great as a phone – feels comfortable in your hand when its open and always seem to have an okay signal. No problems with battery life either. The extra functions for this are too many for me to list, but all the ones I've tried have worked perfectly: no annoying glitches! This comes with the usual games, music player, bluetooth, internet etc, but also has a good quality camera and satellite navigation, making it very high spec."

"A nice looking phone with a slide opening which makes it easier to open. The camera on it is a wicked 8 mega-pixels and it takes much better photos than other camera phones out at the moment. The pictures are sharper than any previous Sony Ericson I've had and you can get 2GB of memory for it too so you can store plenty of stuff on it."

"Excellent phone, I originally said I didn't ever want a sony ericsson again but im glad I did, I love it!"
