Our story

Recombu started life in 2009 as a mobile phone comparison and reviews site, quickly becoming a go-to destination for readers wanting straight-talking advice on tech and cars. In 2020, Recombu joined Trusted Reviews and became part of what is now Candr Media Group, sitting alongside titles including Trusted Reviews, The Ambient, What Digital Camera and Get Sweat Go.

In 2026, Recombu was relaunched with a much wider remit. While our roots in technology and automotive coverage remain, you’ll now also find content on fashion and style, watches and jewellery, skincare and grooming, travel, health, culture, entertainment, and food and drink – all under one roof.
