Bentley Birkin Mulsanne Limited Edition turns the luxury dial to 11

Bentley Birkin Mulsanne limited to run of just 22. Commence drooling now.

If you have exceedingly deep pockets, a love of all things British and want a new car, the Bentley Birkin Mulsanne Limited Edition could be right up your street. The Birkin Mulsanne is named so because its inspiration comes from British racing driver and “Bentley Boy” Tim Birkin, a man who took 1920s Bentleys to their limit around Europe.

Only 22 cars will be built, making this a particularly exclusive set of wheels. Exterior highlights include unique 21-inch wheels and a choice of three new paintjobs – Ghost White, Damson with a ‘sophisticated contrast’ of Fountain Blue and Dark Sapphire (pictured).

3D ‘Flying B’ logos dotted around the interior, a unique plaque located in the centre console that identifies which one of the 22 cars you own and a three-piece hand-crafted luggage set tailored to the interior further differentiate the Birkin Mulsanne from its standard sibling.

Bentley has been kind enough to throw in a few luxury optional extras. There are two 8-inch LCD displays in the seat headrests, for instance, as well as a DVD player, WiFi hotspot, iPads integrated into the picnic tables and an expensive Naim audio system. Tough being rich, eh?

Let’s also not forget a spot of ‘intricate diamond quilting’ on the rear seats and door panels, ‘knurling details to the interior metalwork’ (ask your rich friends) and a unique Sport setting on the Drive Dynamics Control system that is meant to deliver a more engaging experience. For your chauffeur.

The engine bay has been left alone. Not that a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8 with 505bhp needs meddling with. Expect 184mph if you’re brave enough.

No word on a price, but you already know the drill: If you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it.
