Peugeot 108 pictures, price and specs

Peugeot’s latest city runaround comes in Hatch and Top cabrio versions.

Peugeot has announced a price and UK specs for the 108 city car, which was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2014. The new Pug will go on sale on July 1st 2014, with prices starting from £8,245.

The Peugeot 108 is available as a ‘Hatch’ hard-top and ‘Top’ fabric roof soft-top in either three or five-door. Four trim levels are available: Access, Active, Allure and Feline ─ Feline being the top of the range.

A choice of two eco-friendly engines power the Peugeot 108. There’s a 68bhp 1.0-litre petrol capable of 95g/km of CO2 emissions (88g/km with Stop and Start fitted) and an 82bhp 1.2-litre PureTech VTi that manages 99g/km of CO2 emissions. A five-speed manual is standard on both engines, with a 2-Tronic semi-automatic available on the 1.0-litre.

Buyers have a choice of a ‘huge range of colours, ambiences, trims and themes’. The standard palette includes eight body colours and three roof colours. Two personalisation themes (one costing £350 and the other £850) can make your 108 even more personal if you fancy a slightly tweaked interior and two-tone paintjob.

Standard equipment on the Access model includes LED daytime running lights, remote central locking, USB and AUX connectivity, six airbags and steering wheel controls.

Highlights of the Active model include a DAB digital radio, colour coded door handles and door mirrors and a 7-inch infotainment system, which has Mirror Screen and MirrorLink technology built in for letting you control your smartphone in the car.

Allure gives you bigger alloy wheels, front fog lights, electric heated door mirrors, reversing camera, automatic headlights, tinter read windows and leather on the steering wheel and gear knob. A top of the range Feline 108 gets extra creature comforts in the form of leather upholstery, chrome door handles and dual zone air-conditioning.

The Peugeot 108 Hatch 1.0-litre Access starts from £8,245, while the Active starts from £9,645. The  Allure and Feline will set you back from £10,995 and £11,845, respectively. A 108 Top Cabrio starts from £10,345 for the 1.0-litre Active three-door.
