Along with the One Touch 990 that’s coming to O2, Alcatel has just announced another affordable phone in its One Touch series, the One Touch 355.
Unlike the 990, the 355 isn’t an Android phone but it is shaping up to be very wallet friendly; Alcatel told us that it’ll be available from T-Mobile in a carbon colour “from £19.99” - a month we’re guessing, Alcatel wasn’t exactly clear here.
We’ve also not spotted the One Touch 355 on anywhere T-Mobile’s site just yet; we’re waiting to hear back from T-Mobile to confirm pricing and availability.
The 355's specs are pretty no frills; it’s got a VGA main camera, GPRS (no 3G, no Wi-Fi), 2MB of end user memory and a microSD slot that can take cards of up to 4GB in size. So maybe that £20 odd price point is accurate.
You get access to Facebook and Twitter built in and a full Qwerty keyboard for tapping away at texts and tweets and what have you. Without 3G or Wi-Fi though we imagine that this will be pretty slow going, like on the Vodafone 555, which Alcatel also had a hand in making alongside TCL.
We’ll update this as soon as we can clarify that price point.
