Where the flip is the iPad Pro?

A year after rumours first surfaced, Apple’s enormous iPad Pro might finally be ready for launch – and come packing a Force Touch stylus.

Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary of our very first iPad Pro rumours piece, which revealed Apple’s plans to launch a massive 13-inch (ish) business tablet. Details were scant and we quickly learned that the Pro’s launch wouldn’t be until Autumn 2015, as Apple focused its attention on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus instead.

Now the latest web rumours point to a November 2015 launch for the iPad Pro, along with the iPad Air 3 and even a new iPad Mini. So, what do we know so far?

Well, the iPad Pro’s dimensions are said to be 306 x 223 x 7.2 millimetres, making it impressively skinny despite the huge 13-inch screen. Apple’s latest A9 processor and 3GB of RAM will provide sleek performance.

And as this is a professional tablet for business and creative folk, the Pro will pack some seriously beefy security (including Touch ID support) along with a Force Touch stylus, giving pressure-sensitive input.

We’re already looking forward to seeing what Apple shows off at the tail end of the year, but for now all eyes are on September 9th, where the Cupertino company will unveil the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
