Nokia X5 Preview

Strangely square-shaped, the Nokia X5 comes with a full slide-out Qwerty keyboard hidden on its underside. The Nokia X5 features a 5-megapixel camera (LED flash, 4x digital zoom) and a music player supporting all of the major audio files (MP3, WMA, AAC and eAAC+). You can also spin the phone when playing tracks to jump to a random song. There’s a micro USB slot for charging and connectivity and you can listen to music on your standard headphones through the 3.5mm slot.

Now de rigueur access to Facebook and Twitter as well as Myspace and Hi5 comes built in. While the full Qwerty might enable fast typing and texting, the absence of 3G might limit social networkability. At least there’s Wi-Fi included so you can surf at speed in any nearby open hotspots.

On board memory weighs in at a rather meagre 200MB but the Nokia X5’s microSD card slot can take cards of up to 32GB capacity, so you’ll not be stuck for space.
