We here at Recombu like spoiling you with videos. Sure, everyone likes a written article and we certainly like writing one, but every now and then, we know you just feel like kicking back and absorbing a few tips, tricks, facts and insights with the moving medium. That’s why we’ve put together an HTC One camera guide with an HTC Zoe guide thrown in for good measure.
There’s a lot of hype surrounding the HTC One camera. Why? Because it’s unlike any other camera phone out there for a number of reasons. Firstly, it’s got optical image stabilised lenses on both the front and reverse. Secondly, its really, really low resolution – just 4.3-megapixels. Scared? Don’t be.
Despite this pixel count, drop the lights and the HTC One will give you better shots than any camera phone out there, other than the Nokia Lumia 920. This also has a lot to do with the HTC One’s UltraPixel sensor. Each pixel is physically bigger than pixels on any other camera phone, so, the HTC One is able to grab more light per pixel.
With its f/2 aperture lens only adding to this low-light mastery, it’s little wonder it performs incredibly well.
HTC doesn’t stop at the optics and sensor though. The UltraPixel camera with its full HD video and burst capture of 6fps (frames per second) also fuels something called an HTC Zoe.
What’s an HTC Zoe? It’s a 3.6-second burst of video and photo. HTC proposes it captures moments more holistically, and we’d be inclined to agree.
Once your Zoe is recorded, you can easily pick and edit the best photo, save and share the video, or you can create an HTC Zoe Highlight Clip. This mouthful is a montage of your photos and videos presented with some very high production values, and what feels like a human touch.
