The Samsung Galaxy S4 may be a month away from hitting the stores, but from today, eager customers can place their pre-orders across nearly all the major UK networks.
Set to launch in the UK around April 26th and following the huge success of the Samsung Galaxy S3, it will be available via all the major UK networks, most recently Virgin Media. Unlocked Mobiles is the first SIM-free retailer to announce prices, selling the phone for £529.98 including VAT – the same price as the Apple iPhone 5.
Here’s a round up of current availability and links to pre-order pages. We’ll keep this page updated when we get more news from the networks and SIM-free retailers.
EE
The UK’s only active 4G carrier is gearing up to offer Samsung’s new flagship on a number of contracts complete with a few tasty accessories thrown in for good measure, worth a snip under £60. All plans are 24 months in length:
£31 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 500MB of data. Handset cost £269.99
£41 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 1GB of data. Handset cost £79.99
£76 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 20GB of data. Handset cost £19.99
O2
The Galaxy S4 will be made available in both Black Mist and White Frost when it hits retail, but pre-orders are now live, with O2 stating that so long as customers place an order before April 25th, they’ll be able to receive their handset on launch day. All plans are 24 months in length:
£32 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 1GB of data. Handset cost £179.99
£42 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 2GB of data. Handset cost £99.99
£52 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 4GB of data. No handset cost
Orange
Just as with EE’s pre-orders, customers looking to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S4 on Orange willing to place an order before the 26th will also receive an accessory pack worth £54.99. Accessories include a colour coordinated case, a 16GB microSD card and an in-car charging kit. All plans are 24 months in length:
£36 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 1GB of data. Handset cost £109.99
£41 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 2GB of data. Handset cost £79.99
£51 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, unlimited data. Handset cost £19.99
Three
Also citing an arrival date of April 26th, Three offer the cheapest tariff with a free handset and for the moment have kept things simple with just two 24 month tariffs:
£35 a month (Ultimate Internet 500) – 500 minutes, 5000 texts, unlimited data. No handset cost
£37 a month (The One Plan) – 2000 minutes, 5000 Three-to-Three minutes, 5000 texts, unlimited data. No handset cost
T-Mobile
There are a range of truly unlimited Full Monty plans on T-Mobile, with the same aforementioned accessory bundle as available from EE and Orange. All plans are 24 months in length:
£36 a month – 2000 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data. Handset cost £109.99
£46 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, unlimited data. Handset cost £29.99
£61 a month – Unlimited calls, unlimited texts, unlimited data. Handset cost £19.99
Vodafone
One of the few carriers offering both 12 and 24 month plans, Vodafone have contracts ranging from £37 to £57 and will stock both black and white versions of the handset from April 26th.

£47 a month (24 month) – unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 4GB data. No handset cost

Carphone Warehouse
This mobile retailer offers the Samsung Galaxy S4 on contracts across the six major carriers we’ve already mentioned. Anyone who places a pre-order before the 26th of April will receive an accessory bundle worth £84.96 and the first 2000 Pay Monthly pre-orders place online will also receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Android tablet too (which we mentioned here). Carphone Warehouse also offer the 16GB Galaxy S4 in black and white SIM free. All plans are 24 months in length:

Phones 4U
Most certainly adopting the idea of “go hard or go home” Phones 4U are coming out the gate with the offer of extras on select Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders worth up to £900. The retailer has both black and white versions of the S4 available across Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile as well as EE’s 4G plans. Those looking to pick up the S4 on one of said 4G plans will be able to snap up Google Play vouchers between the values of £25 and £100 depending on the monthly cost whilst every day, customers placing pre-orders on any network will also be entered into a draw to win both a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and a Samsung Galaxy Camera, collectively worth £800. All plans are 24 months in length:

Virgin Media
Virgin Media is the latest UK network to confirm it will be selling the phone. There’s no news on tariff prices, but Virgin Media Broadband and TiVO customers will get £5 off their monthly tariff, along with free phone insurance.
Graeme Oxby from Virgin Media said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with the prospect of offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 – it’s an epic phone so we’ll be making some epic deals for our broadband and TiVo customers to match. Samsung devices like the Galaxy Ace II and Galaxy SIII have consistently topped our sales charts so we’re expecting the Galaxy S4 to go down a treat with Virgin Media customers.”
