TomTom for iPhone 3G and 3GS: Satisfied-nav

Do you look at your iPhone so much that you often get lost? There's an app for that. Today TomTom released its iPhone 3G and 3GS app that offers sat-nav goodness without the clunky looking sat-nav. It costs £60, which isn't that expensive when you consider how much you would pay for a standalone sat-nav, and takes eight minutes to download.

There are several versions of the app designed for different regions, including the UK and Ireland, western Europe, Australia and the US and Canada. The app boasts turn-by-turn navigation, automatic re-routing, safety camera info, 2D and 3D viewing modes and points of interest -- almost everything you need.

For those of you wondering what happens when you get a call, the app turns off but restarts as soon as you finish the call, so it's not too bad. It's also worth noting that within the app there's an advert for a car kit that will be made available soon and allow you to stick your iPhone on your windscreen and charge it while you drive -- so you won't need to hold it with sellotape like we did.

You can download the TomTom iPhone app here. This app will not work on the original iPhone or on the iPod Touch but TomTom says it's working on a solution.
