Updated: Along with the announcement of the rather confusingly titled ‘The new iPad’ comes word that the iPad 2 will be getting a price cut. Apple has said that this is coming down to $399 US Dollars for the basic 16GB Wi-Fi only edition.
UK prices for the Apple iPad 2 have now dropped, with the 16GB Wi-Fi version looking to cost £329. This is quite a mark up from the converted US price, which works out at around £250. Rip Off Britain, we salute you.
The 3G and Wi-Fi iPad 2 is being cut to $529. We were hoping for a cut to £336 (or thereabouts), but again no such luck, Apple has announced that new UK pricing for the 16GB 3G and Wi-Fi Apple iPad 2 is a pricier £429.
So there you have it; £329 for a 16GB Wi-Fi only iPad 2 and £439 for a 16GB 3G and Wi-Fi iPad 2.
