Touchnote for Android on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (video)

Touchnote is a cool web-based service that lets you upload your digital snaps and have them turned into real, physical postcards which are then mailed (as in really mailed, not emailed) to an address of your choice.

There’s apps for iPhone, iPad and Android phones which you might have heard about. The Android version of the app has been updated to make use of Samsung’s S Pen styluses that come with the original Samsung Galaxy Note and the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.

The core functions of the service remain the same; you take a picture on your Galaxy Note, or select a picture from the gallery or Facebook and using the S Pen you can write messages and doodle on the front of the card as well as hand-write a message on the back, as you would with an old-school postcard.

Though the app itself is free, it costs £1.49 a time to send a postcard using Touchnote. Postage is included and Touchnote will deliver cards to anywhere in the world.

Touching from a distance

This gives the Touchnote cards sent from your Galaxy Note a more personal and human touch, whereas the other apps apply typed text. We asked Touchnote co-founder Paul Burdin for a quick demo of Touchnote and how it works on the Galaxy Note 10.1. We think Touchnote and the Samsung Galaxy Notes are a perfect match.Check out our hands-on video below and head over to the Android Market using the link below to download Touchnote for Android.
