Angry Birds sync coming soon, Seasons to get 15 Easter themed levels

Fed up of having to replay the same levels on Angry Birds every time you update or switch to a new phone? Fret no longer; Rovio is working on a new sync feature for its popular bird ’em up.

This will allow you to save your progress between devices like your iPad, iPhone, Android phone, or whatever. So you can start playing Ham ‘Em High on the bus, save your progress, and then pick up where you left off on your iPad at home.

No details on how Rovio is going to go about doing this. We imagine some sort of account creation/log in system will be in order. One solution that could work would be to use gamer’s existing OpenFeint profiles. OpenFeint already has several million active accounts and works on iOS and Android.

In other uneggspected news, Rovio has also let slip that 15 Easter-themed levels will be hitting Seasons in the coming weeks.

This sees the pigs swapping their comedy leprechaun hats for Link’s bunny ears. We wonder what seasonal break Rovio is going to invade next.

Angry Birds Summer Holidays starring Cliff Richard? Angry Birds Ramadan? Angry Birds Thanksgiving (which will probably actually happen)?

If you’ve already got Seasons, expect the 15 Easter levels to roll out as a free update. If you’ve not got Seasons, it’s 59p on iTunes and free on the Android Market.
