See below? That is the 2015 Audi TT Coupé, which will arrive in the UK in December 2014 followed by a sportier TTS version in March 2015. The former is available to order now.
Two engines are available at launch for the new Audi TT Coupé, which retains its 2+2 seating arrangement. A 2.0-litre TFSI with 226bhp (230PS) achieves 0 to 62mph in six seconds for the front-wheel drive variant and 5.3 seconds for the all-wheel drive with the pricier S tronic twin-clutch transmission.
Torque for the petrol engine is 370Nm from 1,600rpm and the top speed is 155mph. Fuel economy is 47.9mpg and C02 emissions are 137g/km for front wheel drive, 44.1mpg and 149g/km for the quattro all-wheel drive.
The second engine choice is the 181bhp (184PS) 2.0-litre TDI with 380Nm of torque, which can manage 0 to 62mph in 7.1 seconds, a top speed of 150mph, claimed 67.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 110g/km.
The new TT Coupé is virtually the same size as its predecessor, but the wheelbase is 37mm longer. Boot space is 13 litres better, at 305 litres. Fold the rear seat backrests forward and you have 712 litres to play with.
50kg of weight has been saved by using an improved aluminium and steel hybrid construction process, bringing the 2.0-litre TFSI weight down to 1,230kg.
Sport and S line trim levels are available. The latter adds 19-inch alloys with a five-arm design, LED headlights, LED taillights and the option of swapping to the firmer, 10mm lower S line sports suspension at no extra cost. Matrix LED lights can be specified if you have the readies.
The optional Technology Package adds a hard-disc based navigation system and the Audi Connect infotainment system, both of which are displayed through a 12.3-inch TFT display. Still got money to burn? There’s always a 680-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system to nod your head to.
The 2015 Audi TT Coupé model can be ordered now, with prices starting from £29,770 for entry-level 2.0-litre TFSI Sport with a 6-speed manual. A range-topping 2.0-litre TFSI S line quattro with the 6-speed S tronic starts from £35,335. The diesels models are priced in between.
No word on a price for the TTS model, which has a healthy 305bhp (310PS) and other sporty goodies including more aggressive styling.
